Staunton 8, Waynesboro 7

Braves Highlights: LT Cockrill (Delaware) was 3-for-4 with a double and three runs batted in. Noah Canterbury (Fairmont State) was 3-for-5 with three runs scored and one run batted in. Brad Garner (VMI) was 2-for-4 and scored a run. Trey Jackson was the winning pitcher, going five innings and allowing one run on four hits. He struck out seven and did not walk a batter.

Generals Highlights: Matthew Sheppard (Ferrum) pitched three innings and allowed one unearned run on three hits. He also drove in two runs. Kyle Neri (Rider) was 2-for-4 and drove in a run. Jayson Willers (Morningside) hit a three-run homer. Kealo Smith (Bluefield) was 2-for-4 with two runs scored and one run batted in.

Strasburg 5, Woodstock 4

Express Highlights: Strasburg scored two runs in the bottom of the ninth for the walk-off win. Connor Chisholm (Mississippi) was 2-for-4. Matthew Phillips (Towson) was 2-for-3 with a solo homer. Brooks Henderson (Lackawanna) also hit a solo homer. Six pitchers combined to blank Woodstock over the final seven innings. Gavin Lill (Millersville) retired the side in order in the ninth, including a pair of strikeouts to earn the win.

River Bandits Highlights: Starting pitched Tyler Strickland (UNC-Pembroke) pitched three shutout innings and allowed two hits while striking out four and walking one. Brady Whitacre (Radford) was 2-for-4 with a run batted in.

Front Royal 11, New Market 3

Cardinals Highlights: Kyle Koehler (Cuyahoga CC) homered and drove in three runs. Macho Santiago (W&M) was 2-for-5 with a solo home run. Van Coughlin (Holy Cross) was 2-for-4 with a homer, two runs scored and two RBIs. Thomas White (Miami Dade) was 2-for-4 and scored twice.

Rebels Highlights: Blaine Waltimyer (Penn State-Harrisburg), Chaise Albus (East Stroudsburg) and Johnathan Mallow (Millersville) each drove in one run for the Rebels.

Winchester 10, Purcellville 2

Royals Highlights: Winchester broke open a close game with four runs in the fifth inning, highlighted by a bases-loaded double by Konni Durschlag (High Point), to pull away for the Cannons. Durschlag drove in four runs. The Royals win, coupled with New Markets loss, allowed the Royals to clinch the final playoff spot in the North. Austin Lafferty (Akron) was 4-for-6 and scored three runs. Brody Pickette (Shenandoah) was 3-for-5 with a run scored and three RBIs. Dutch DeProspero (Hood) pitched seven innings and allowed just one run on two hits. He struck out five and walked two.

Cannons Highlights: Kaleb Freeman (Georgia State) hit a solo homer. Stirling Thomas (North Carolina A&T) pitched 2.2 scoreless innings and allowed just one hit. He struck out four and walked one.
