Strasburg swept a twinbill from the New Market Rebels.
In the opener Josh Ibe (Stephen F. Austin) was 3-for-4 with two homers and six RBIs to lead the Express. Jay Douglas (Eastern Kentucky) was 3-for-5 with 3 RBIs. Jack Anderson (JMU) was 2-for-3 with two RBIs.
Dawson Coe (Georgia Southern) started and pitched three innings. He allowed no runs on two hits and struck out five.
Jake Henry Williams (Arkansas State) drove in two runs for the Rebels.
In the second game, Brady Boles (Panola) was 3-for-4 and scored three runs while Eddie Castillo (New Orleans) was 3-for-4 and drove in three runs. Jake McCarter (High Point) and Paul Osting (Western Illinois) were both 1-for-3, both homered and both drove in three runs. Landon Beaver (UAB) was 2-for-3 with two RBIs.
John Gray (Wofford) pitched four shutout innings. He gave up three hits and struck out five.
Winchester 9, Front Royal 0
Four Winchester pitchers combined for a shutout in the win over Front Royal.
Parker Frey (East Stroudsburg) was 3-for-5 with three RBIs and Todd Abraham (Binghamton) was 2-for-3 with a homer and three RBIs to lead the winning Royals. Benton Jones (Lynchburg) and Connor Guy (St. Johns River) each had two hits with Jones driving in two runs.
Ian Kaiser (Binghamton) was the winning pitcher, hurling three scoreless innings. He allowed one hit and struck out three. Reid Bowyer (Stephen F. Austin) pitched 3.2 scoreless innings and allowed three hits.
Brandon Butler (Slippery Rock) had four of Front Royal’s seven hits.
Woodstock 12, Purcellville 2
The River Bandits pounded out 14 hits in the win over the Cannons.
Will Tippett (College of Charleston) was 4-for-4 with a homer, triple and five RBIs. Eli Hudgins (Radford) was 3-for-5 with two RBIs. Luke Keister (Shenandoah) and JT Andersoky (DeSales) both had two hits and two RBIs. Conner Spelman (Jacksonville) finished 3-for-4.
Jospeh Dimino (North Florida) and Dominic Capparella (Mt. Saint Mary’s) each pitched two scoreless innings for the River Bandits.
Harrisonburg 13, Waynesboro 0
Jake Dorn (Miami) pitched a complete-game, seven-inning shutout against the Generals, Dorn struck out five and walked two.
Jose Perez (UNC-Greensboro) and Clay Thompson (JMU) each drove in three runs for the Turks. Steele Burd (Clemson) drove in two runs.
Andrew Ildefonso (FIU) had two of Waynesboro’s three hits.
