The 2025 VBL All-South Division first and second teams have been selected by representatives of the six teams in the division.

The Staunton Braves led the voting with six first-team selections.

Wyatt Campbell (JMU) at first base and designated hitter Mikey Urbaniak (Longwood) were unanimous picks to the first unit. Campbell, the VBL Home Run Derby Champion, hit for a .268 average and led the South in home runs with 10 and doubles with 11. He ranked second in the South with 30 RBIs. Urbaniak hit for a .387 average with two homers and 20 RBIs. He ranked second in the South with 10 doubles.

Braves’ catcher LT Cockrill (Delaware) was named to the first team after being a second-team pick in 2024. Cockrill hit .314 with two homers and 15 RBIs.

Staunton third-baseman Wyatt Peifer (N.C. State) and utility player Jacob Lester (Trevecca Nazarene) were also named to the first team. Peifer hit .397 in 21 games, with seven doubles, a homer and 10 RBIs. He tied for the team lead with 11 stolen bases. In his second summer in Staunton, Lester rotated between second base, third base and shortstop. Lester hit .287 with two homers and 17 RBIs in a Braves uniform.

Braves’ lefty Parker Munday (Akron) rounded out the first-team picks. Munday made 10 appearances, pitching 19.1 innings. Munday was 1-0 with one save and a 0.93 ERA. He struck out 29 batters and walked just seven.

South Division regular-season champion Harrisonburg had four first-team selections.

Cannon Feazell (Clemson) was the only unanimous pick on the pitching staff. Feazell was 3-0 with a 0.91 ERA. He struck out 23 batters and walked eight.

Shortstop Josiah Seguin (Chipola) was the unanimous pick at shortstop where he hit .273 with a division-leading 35 RBIs.

Harrisonburg’s Jalen Evans (Wingate) and Culpeper’s Keeton Burroughs (Pittsburgh) tied in the voting for the first-team spot at second base. Evans hit .294 and led the South with four triples. He led the VBL with 32 stolen bases. Burroughs hit for a .319 average and swiped 14 bases.

Turks’ outfielder Clay Thompson earned a first-team spot. Thompson hit .254 with five home runs and 25 RBIs. He also stole 10 bases.

Joining Thompson in the outfield are Waynesboro’s James Green II (Presbyterian) and Charlottesville’s James Nunnallee (Mississippi State). Nunnallee was a unanimous first-team selection. Nunnallee hit .375 with a homer, 17 RBIs and 18 stolen bases in 18 games. Green II hit .301 with seven doubles.

Culpeper’s Mason Breton (Long Island) is the first-team pick as a two-way player. Breton hit .257 with three homers and 15 RBIs. On the mound, Breton was 1-2 with a save in 27.1 innings pitched.

Due to a tie in the voting, there were five pitchers selected to the first team.

Joining Feazell and Munday on the mound are Culpeper’s Alex Crudder (Lynchburg), Harrisonburg’s Cole Dement and Waynesboro’s Julian Mlodzinski (FIU). Crudder posted a 1.95 ERA with one save in 23 innings pitched. He struck out 32 and walked 11. Dement was 5-1 with a 1.78 ERA. In 30.1 innings, Dement struck out 26 batters. Mlodzinski was 2-0 with a 1.95 ERA. The Generals righthander struck out 19 in 23 innings.
