Mother Nature wins again.
Continuing a snake-bitten run of VBL All-Star games, the 2022 game was washed out by a monster storm during batting practice, leaving the outfield and foul territory in serval places under water.
The only activity that was completed was the 60-yard dash, won by Woodstock’s RJ Stinson (William Carey), with Strasburg’s Jonah Cox (Oral Roberts) coming in second.
The game has not been played in its entirety since 2018. In 2019, rain stopped the game in the fourth inning, Covid took care of 2020, and the 2021 ended early due to “mound malfunction” in Harrisonburg.
There is no makeup date.
