Culpeper’s Alejandro Ludeiro (Lipscomb) is the South Division Player of the Week while Staunton’s Miguel Hugas (Mercer) is the Pitcher of the Week.
In five games, Ludeiro was 9-for-20 (.450 average) with three doubles, a homer and eight RBIs. He was 3-for-5 with a double, homer and four RBIs in a win over Winchester.
Hugas was 1-0 in two appearances. He pitched eight innings and allowed no earned runs on three hits. He struck out 10 and walked three. Hugas pitched six innings in a win over the Tom Sox. He allowed one unearned run on three hits with eight strikeouts and just one walk.

Staunton: Jackson Ingram (West Virginia) was 6-for-12 in four games. He had two homers, five RBIs and five runs scored. He also stole two bases and walked twice.
Waynesboro: Andrew Ildefonso (Florida International) was 9-for-29 in seven games with two homers, three doubles, five runs and seven RBIs. He also stole two bases.
Covington: Willy Mendez (Miami Dade) was 7-for- 18 in five games (.388 average) with one run batted in.
Harrisonburg: Clay Thompson (JMU) had four hits, four RBIs and two walks in four games played.
Charlottesville: James Nunnallee (Mississippi State) was 6-for-13 in four games. He had two doubles, a homer, five RBIs and five stolen bases.
Other South Pitcher of the Week Nominees
Waynesboro: Cole Turner (Embry-Riddle) pitched six innings during the week and allowed one run on four hits. He struck out nine.
Covington: Clayton Stewart was 2-0 in two relief appearances. He pitched 4.1 innings and allowed no runs and one hit while striking out six.
Harrisonburg: Tim Tyler (JMU) made one relief appearance and was 1-0. He pitched six innings and allowed no runs on two hits while striking out five and walking one.
Culpeper: Owen Winebarger (Elon) to the win in his only appearance, pitching four innings and allowed no runs on one hit. He struck out two and did not walk a batter.
Charlottesville: Evan Alwine (Florida International) allowed no runs on two hits in 5.1 innings in his lone start of the week. He struck out six and walked two.
