Our second USA Signs Hitter of the Week award goes to Staunton outfielder Joe Delossantos, from William & Mary, who had at least one hit in all seven games played, and overall slashed .407/.500/.630 in 27 at-bats. He added five runs scored, three doubles, one home run, 10 RBIs, a very good five walks against four strikeouts, and even six stolen bases without being caught.

Overall this summer, he’s hitting .379/.463/.690 with 12 runs, six doubles, four home runs, 19 RBIs, nine walks and nine strikeouts, and those six stolen bases. According to “Batter Game Score,” not only has Delossantos been the best hitter in the Valley so far, but he’s also been the seventh best hitter overall in six top leagues combined- the Coastal Plains, Cape, Prospect, NECBL, Valley, and WCL.
