The South Division weekly award recipients are the same as Week 1 – Harrisonburg’s Cannon Feazell (Clemson) is the Pitcher of the Week while Culpeper’s Keeton Burroughs (Pittsburgh) (Culpeper) is the Hitter of the Week.

Feazell made one start during the week and pitched six no-hit innings. He struck out seven and walked two. Feazell is now 2-0 on the season and has a 0.53 ERA. In 17 innings pitched he has allowed three hits and struck out 18 batters.

Burroughs was 6-for-13, with four runs scored, five walks and two stolen bases. At the end of the week he was leading the league in hitting with a .500 average

Other South Pitcher of the Week Nominees

Staunton: Brady Clark (St. John’s) made two appearances and picked up a win. In 4.1 innings, he allowed no runs on one hit while striking out three and issuing no walks.

Culpeper:  Branton Little (Wofford) pitched four innings in relief against Winchester and picked up the win.  He struck out six and did not walk a batter while allowing one hit and one run.

Waynesboro: Jim Douthat (VMI) allowed two hits and one run in two innings on the mound.

Covington: Clayton Stewart (Francis Marion) pitched 3.2 innings in a win over Culpeper and did not allow a hit. He struck out five and walked one.

Other South Hitter of the Week Nominees

Waynesboro: Andrew Ildefonso (FIU)  was 5-for-16 on the week. He scored five runs, drove in three runs and stole three bases.

Covington: Justin Allen (Hillsborough CC)  was 3-for-11 with three run scored and seven RBIs. All seven RBIs came against Waynesboro and included a grand slam homer.

Staunton: Jacob Lester (Trevecca Nazarene) was 6-for-13 and drove in five runs in four games.
