This Weeks Pitcher of the Week comes from the Purcellville Cannons by way of the Raiders of Shippensburg University. Dalena has been one of the few bright spots for the Purcellville Cannons Pitching staff this season, and this last week was no different. Jaxon took the Hill in Two starts vs Playoff bound teams and picked up two victories along the way. In his First Outing of the week, he pitched 5 innings while striking out 7 and giving up his lone earned run of the week. In his second outing of the week and final outing of the season, Dalena pitched a 7inning complete game picking up the Win and striking out another 7 hitters. In the Final game of the season for the Cannons, Jaxon picked up the Bat and gave his best Ohtani Impersonation–collecting 3 Hits and clobbered a 2R HR as well as a double in the contest–picking up 3 RBI on the night. Congratulations Jaxon. Jaxon completed the regular season the league leader in Innings Pitched with 40 and also Lead the league in ERA with a 2.25 among qualified pitchers.

 

This Weeks Hitter of the Week comes from the Aggies of North Carolina A&T and the Winchester Royals–Cam Jackson. Cam has been a consistent performer for the Mike Smith lead Royals.  During the Week he hit .588 with 10 hits, 6 Runs scored, and swiped 4 bags. On the season, Jackson hit .372 with 29 Runs scored, a HR, and 13RBI. His 4 stolen bases this week doubled his season total and brought him to 8 stolen bases through the regular season. The Week was highlighted by his 4-4 performance on July 20th were he also scored 3 runs and collected a triple. He was 5-5 on base that night as he also drew a walk.
