Former Cannons OF Plays In HBCU Swingman Classic

Joseph Eichelberger, a member of the 2023 Purcellville Cannons, played in the second annual HBCU Swingman Classic on Friday night at Globe Lite Field as part of Major League Baseball’s All-Star Week.

Eichelberger, an OF at Jackson State, went 0-for-2 in the game.

Eichelberger played in 32 games for the Cannons in 2023 and hit for a .261 average. He hit four home runs and led Purcellville in RBIs with 33.

This past season at Jackson State, Eichelberger led the team with a .375 batting average and was second on the team with 53 RBIs.
