A pair of 2023 New Market Rebels, both from Penn State – Harrisburg, earned top honors on the United East Clot Division All-Conference baseball team.
Carlos Irizarry was named the Player of the Year and Josh Berzonski earned Pitcher of the Year honors.
Irizarry hit .390 in conference play with 18 RBIs, four doubles and two homers in 15 conference games. Overall, during the regular season, he hit .353 and set new career highs with nine doubles, seven homers and 53 RBIs. His RBI total ranked No. 37 in the country.
Berzonski led the pitching staff to an undefeated 15-0 mark in conference play. He led the conference in ERA with a 1.24 mark. His ERA ranks No. 4 in the nation. He also ranks fourth in the nation with a 0,80 WHIP and sixth in the country, allowing just 5.15 hits per nine innings.
