Former Tom Sox Player Sets New Freshman HR Mark at U.Va.

University of Virginia first-year player Henry Ford hit his 16th home run of the season Saturday to set the UVA freshman home run record.

Ford played for the Charlottesville Tom Sox in 2023.

Ford hit a two-run homer in the fifth inning against N.C. State to set the new record.

Ford eclipsed former big leaguer Mark Reynolds’ record of 15 homers in 2002.
