Strasburg 13, Purcellville 10
In a game featuring seven homers, Strasburg outslugged the Cannons 13-10.
Josh Ibe (Stephen F. Austin), Jack Anderson (JMU), Eduardo Castillo (New Orleans) and Jay Douglas (Eastern Kentucky) homered for the Express. Ibe and Castillo each had three hits with Ibe driving in three runs and Castillo finishing with two RBIs. Douglas and Landon Beaver (UAB) each added a pair of base hits.
Carlos Sanchez (Florida Southwestern), Anthony Fernandez (St. Bonaventure) and Thomas Marsala (Western Kentucky) homered for the Cannons. Marsala was 4-for-5 with three RBIs while Fernandez finished 3-for-5. Sanchez, Mitsuki Kohno (Johnson U.) and Ethan Acevedo (Indian Hills) each finished with two hits.
Harrisonburg 7, Culpeper 4
The Turks scored four runs in the eighth inning to break a 3-3 tie and take a 7-4 win over Culpeper.
Charlie Hendrix (Georgetown) pitched seven innings in relief to get the win. Hendrix allowed three runs, just one earned, on five hits. He struck out six and walked one. Amaury DeJesus (Miami) was 3-for-4 for the Turks. Steele Burd (Clemson) and Josiah Seguin (Chipola) each had two base hits. Jordan Jaffe (Liberty) and Phillip Garcia (Gulf Coast CC) both drove in two runs.
Ethan Belk (Wofford) and Alejandro Ludiero (Lipscomb) each had two hits for the Cavaliers.
Winchester 7, Front Royal 1
Winchester took the lead with a run in the top of the first and led the whole game in a 7-1 victory over Front Royal. The loss was the eighth straight for Front Royal.
Jake Dally (Binghamton) turned in a solid start to get the win. Dally pitched five innings and allowed one run on five hits. Jack Brooker (Queens) pitched three scoreless innings and allowed just one hit while fanning four batters.
Parker Frey (East Stroudsburg) was 2-for-5 for the Royals and teammate Easton Albert (East Stroudsburg) drove in two runs.
Sota Teshima (Santa Ana College) was 2-for-3 for Front Royal.
Woodstock 11, New Market 3
Woodstock rallied from an early deficit to pull away from Woodstock 11-3. The win was the eight straight for Woodstock while the loss was the seventh in a row for the Rebels.
River Bandits leadoff batter Jordan Evans (Mississippi College was 4-for-5 with a homer, two doubles and a triple. Evans scored three runs and drove in five runs. Barrett Eldridge (Rice) and Hunter Miller (Southern Indiana) each had two hits while teammates Luke Keister (Shenandoah) and William Tippett (South Carolina) each drove in two runs. Tippett had a homer for the River Bandits.
Woodstock starter Brixton Lofgren pitched five innings and allowed two runs on three hits. He struck out eight and walked one.
Gian de Castro (Arizona State) and Matthew Murphy each had two base hits for the Rebels.
Charlottesville 3, Waynesboro 2
The Tom Sox scored the go-ahead run in the top of the seventh to defeat Waynesboro 3-2.
Kyle Langley (JMU) and Brock Clayton (Florida) each had two hits for the Tom Sox.
Evan Alwine 5.2 innings to get the win. Alwine allowed two runs, both unearned on two hits. He struck out six and walked two. Four relievers combined to blank the Generals the rest of the way with Brandon Eldridge (Florida Southwestern) retiring the side in order in the ninth to earn the save.
Denver Slifka (Carson-Newman) scattered five hits in three scoreless innings for Waynesboro. He fanned two and did not walk a batter.
