Pitcher of the Day
Our Pitcher of the Day is no stranger to VBL fans- it’s Joe Vogatsky, a returner to the Purcellville Cannons after a stellar 2021 summer. A strong righthander from JMU, Vogatsky fired 6 1/3 shutout innings last night while allowing only three hits. He didn’t walk anyone, and he struck out three to earn a game score of 70. He’s having another fantastic summer; he’s 2-0, 0.64 so far in 28 innings, while allowing only 29 baserunners (including only six walks) and striking out 21. He leads the league in ERA. He struck out 26 in 23 1/3 innings this spring for the Dukes.
