  • Woodstock 2, Winchester 1: A tale of two teams going in opposite directions at the moment. The Bandits are 19-10 and have won six of seven, while the Royals fell to 11-18 and have dropped seven straight.
  • Strasburg 6, Front Royal 5: This was a crazy one. Down 5-2 in the ninth, the Express scored four times with one out to shock the Cardinals. Tommy Tavarez singled in two, and then came around to score the last run on an error. Strasburg is 16-12; Cardinals are now 13-19… but are still on pace to make the playoffs in the fourth spot in the North.

Hitter of the Day

The hitter of the day is Woodstock’s RJ Stinson, from William Carey, who went 4-4 with a triple in the Bandits’ win. Stinson is now hitting .315/.406/.413 in 92 at-bats, with 20 runs, four doubles, 12 RBIs, and 13/18 BB/K ratio. He has seven hits in his last eight at-bats.
