Purcellville shortstop Shintaro Inoue (Kansas State) and Front Royal catcher Broedy Poppell shared the VBL North Division Player of the Year honor.
Inoue led the entire VBL in RBIs with 37 and tied for second in the league in homers with seven. He finished the season with a .277 batting average. Inoue had 38 base hits and his 33 runs scored ranked second in the league. He also ranked No. 2 in the league in doubles with 11.
Poppell led the Valley League in stolen bases with 27 and tied for the league lead in hits with 49. He finished the season with a .331 batting average and his 10 doubles also ranked inside the Top 10 in the league.
