Harrisonburg 10, Charlottesville 4

How It Happened: Charlottesville’s Robbie Lavey (George Washigton) hit a two-run homer with one out in the bottom of the ninth as the Tom Sox walked off the Generals 3-2.

Turks Highlights: Jalen Evans (Wingate) was 2-for-2 with three walks and two runs scored. Cam Harris (Wingate) was 2-for-4 with a double, two runs scored and two RBIs. Paskell was 1-for-3 with a two-run homer and three RBIs. Hatcher was 3-for-5 with two RBIs. Jack Cannizzaro (JMU) was 2-for-5 with two RBIs. Matthew Delgado (Rogers State) was 2-for-5. Jason Cheifetz (JMU) pitched 5.1 innings and allowed one unearned run on two hits. Ben Craig (UMBC) did not allow a hit in his 1.2 innings. He struck out three and walked two.

Tom Sox Highlights: Colby Wallace (ECU) was 3-for-5 with a run batted in.

Culpeper 8, Waynesboro 6

How It Happened: Culpeper rallied from a 5-3 deficit with five runs in the eighth inning to defeat the Generals. Waynesboro’ Sion Barnette (Limestone) singled home a run in the top of the eighth for a 5-3 Generals lead, but the home team stormed back in the bottom of the inning. Two walks and an error loaded the bases with no outs. Blagen Pado (Longwood) drew a bases loaded walk to make it a one-run game and a walk to Rett Johnson (South Alabama tied the score. Another walk, this one to Eric Correa (Rice) put the Cavs ahead and a sacrifice fly by Brock Bollinger made the score 7-5.

Cavaliers Highlights: Correa was 1-for-1 with a two-run homer. Bollinger drove in two runs for the Cavs. Gabriel Larry (Mississippi State) was 2-for-5. Connor Maryniak (Misericordia) pitched the final three innings, allowing two runs, to get the win.

Generals Highlights: Kyle Neri (Rider) was 2-for-4 with a solo homer. Christian Castaneda (Colorado State-Pueblo) was 4-for-5 with a homer and two RBIs. Bentley Yeatts (Longwood) was 2-for-4 with two RBIs. Cole Hales (Catawba) pitched five innings and allowed one run on three hits. He struck out five and walked one.
