Purcellville 7, Strasburg 5

Cannons Highlights: Kaleb Freeman (Georgia State) and Shintaro Inoue (Kansas State) each drove in a run in the ninth inning to lift the Cannons to a big win over the Express. Inoue finished 3-for-5 with two runs scored and one run batted in. Rafael Furcal (San Jacinto) was 2-for-3 with three RBIs. Gavin Braland (South Carolina) was 2-for-3. Jake Slade (Virginia Tech) belted a solo homer. Stirling Thomas (North Carolina A&T), Charlie Krebs (Marshall) and David Eckaus (FIU) combined to blank the Express over the final three innings. The trio allowed just one bae hit. Eckaus struck out the side in the ninth to earn the save.

Express Highlights: Anthony LaSala was 2-for-4 with a run scored and one run batted in. Connor Chisholm (Mississippi) was 2-for-3 and scored a run. Brooks Henderson (Lackawanna) was 2-for-5 with two RBIs. Carson Applegate (St. Joseph’s) was 2-for-4 and scored a run.

Woodstock 11, Winchester 4

River Bandits Highlights: Preston Joye (Mercer), Trevor Hansen (Manhattan) and Drewv Leinenbach (North Florida) each homered to power the Bandits to the win. Leinenback finished the night 2-for-5 while Joye went 3-for-5 and Hansen was 2-for-4. Ryan Wilson (Middle Georgia) was 3-for-5 and scored three runs. Brady Whitacre (Radford) was 2-for-4 with a run scored and three RBIs. Logan Duffy (Pittsburgh) was 2-for-3 with two runs scored and one run batted in. Josh Neilsen (Messiah) and Davian Giles (Eckerd) combined to allow just three hits and one unearned run over the final four innings.

Royals Highlights: Austin Lafferty (Akron) was 2-for-5 with a run batted in. Kristian Amaro (North Carolina A&T) was 2-for-4.

New Market 12, Front Royal 8

Rebels Highlights: Blaine Waltimyer (Penn State-Harrisburg) was 4-for-6 with a double and four RBIs. Michael Dobkowski (Chipola) was 2-for-6 with a homer and three RBIs. Jake Henry Williams (Arkansas State) was 2-fpr-4 with four RBIs. Chaise Albus (East Stroudsburg) was 2-for-6. Connor Reilly (East Stroudsburg) was 2-for-5 with a run scored and one run batted in. Luke Roggenburk (St. Bonaventure) pitched two scoreless innings and allowed two hits.

Cardinals Highlights: Chandler Ketchup (Long Island) was 2-for-4 and scored two runs. Broedy Poppell (Florida A&M) was 3-for-5 with two runs scored and two RBIs. Kyle Koehler (Cuyahoga CC) homered and drove in three runs. Macho Santiago (W&M was 3-for-4.  Van Coughlin (Holy Cross) was 2-for-4. Parker Thomas (Wright State) allowed just one hit in two innings.

Covington 6, Tom Sox 2

Lumberjacks Highlights: Carlos Castillo (Dayton) was 2-for-2 with two runs scored and one run batted in. Matthew Irwin (East Texas Baptist) was the winning pitcher, going five innings and allowing two runs on five hits. John Vazquez (Barry) allowed one hit in four innings to earn the save.

Tom Sox Highlights: Colby Wallace (ECU) was 3-for-4 with a double and scored three runs. Cooper Blauser (Jacksonville State) was 2-for-3 with a double and a run batted in.

Harrisonburg 10, Waynesboro 1

Turks Highlights: Hudson Rowan (Florida State) pitched 5.1 innings and allowed two hits. He struck out 11 and walked two. Jalen Evans (Wingate) was 2-for-5 and scored five runs. Jack Cannizzaro (JMU) was 2-for-5 and drove in a pair of runs. Anthony Zarlingo (Miami-Hamilton) drove in three runs.

Generals Highlights: Kyle Neri (Rider) belted a solo homer.

Culpeper 10, Staunton 5

Cavaliers Highlights: Wian (Randolph-Macon) pitched six innings and allowed two runs, both unearned on five hits. He struck out seven and walked two. Bryce Demory (Lynchburg) was 2-for-4 with a homer, two runs scored and four RBIs. Gabriel Larry (Mississippi State) was 2-for-5 and scored a run. Tyler Shulman (Harvard) was 2-for-5 with two runs scored and one run batted in. Caden Christman (Rutgers) was 2-for-5 with one run batted in.

Braves Highlights: Brad Garner was 2-for-5 with a homer and three RBIs. Frankie Carreras (Trevecca Nazarene) was 2-for-4 and scored a run. Matthew Charles (Mary Baldwin pitched three innings and did not allow a hit. He struck out four and walked one.
