Former Valley Baseball League player, Mitch Farris, who pitched for the Harrisonburg Turks, made his MLB debut on the mound this past week for the Angels.
Farris, who played college baseball at Wingate, pitched five innings and allowed one run on three hits to pick up the win against the Kansas City Royals.
Farris was called up from Double-A Rocket City, where he was leading the Southern League in strikeouts.
