Winchester 6, Covington 4

Winchester scored three runs in the top of the ninth to defeat Covington 6-4.

Todd Abraham (Binghamton) and Sean Pokorak (Lynchburg) each had two base hits for the Royals.

Royals starter Brandon Vazquez (Bethune-Cookman) turned in a solid outing, pitching five innings and allowing one run on five hits. He struck out five and walked three.

Edwin Melendez (Lake Sumter) had two hits for the Lumberjacks.

Strasburg 15, Front Royal 1

Strasburg broke open the game with 11 runs in the sixth inning to defeat the Cardinals 15-1.

Eduardo Morales (Pasco Hernando) was 2-for-4 with a homer and six RBIs to lead the Express. Brady Boles (Panola) was 3-for-5 with a homer, three runs scored and two RBIs. Josh Ibe (Stephen F. Austin) went 2-for-5 with three RBIs. Brooks Henderson (UMBC) had two hits and Jake McCarter (High Point) added two RBIs for the Express.

Starting pitched Gavin Kindell (Florida Southwestern) pitched three scoreless innings and allowed four hits.

Brandon Butler (Slippery Rock) had two hits for the Cardinals.

Charlottesville 7, Purcellville 5

Charlottesville scored four runs in the seventh to come from behind and defeat the Cannons 7-5.

James Nunnallee (Mississippi State) was 3-for-4 and Elijah Guilliams homered and drove in four runs to lead the Tom Sox.

Lane Duff (JMU) pitched 3.1 innings in relief to get the win. He allowed no runs on one hit and struck out five. Jason Ban (Davidson) recorded the final two outs, both by strikeout, to get the save.

Anthony Fernandez (St. Bonaventure) was 2-for-5 and drove in two runs to pace the Cannons.  A.J. Goytia (Texas Tech) was 2-for-3 with one run batted in.

Culpeper 8, Woodstock 4

Culpeper jumped out to an early 7-2 lead and defeated the River Bandits 8-4

Keoni Painter (BYU) was 2-for-3 with a homer and three RBIs to spark the Cavaliers. Colby Motley (Wallace CC) also homered and drove in three runs. Ethan Belk (Wofford) and Mason Breton (Long Island) each added two hits.

Alexander Crudder (Lynchburg) pitched 2.1 innings to earn the save. He allowed no runs on one hit and struck out five.

JT Anderosky (DeSales) was 3-for-5 for the River Bandits. Jordan Evans was 1-for-5 to extend his hitting streak to 15 straight games.

Harrisonburg 10, New Market 2

The Turks scored four runs in the first inning and rolled to a 10-2 win over New Market.

Jalen Evans (Wingate), Clay Thompson (JMU), Jordan Jaffe (Liberty) and Seven Alemias (Wake Forest) each had two base hits for the Turks. Alemias and Jaffe both had two RBIs.

Starting pitcher Wesley Jones (Charlotte) pitched 5.2 innings and allowed one run on two hits. He struck out six and walked four. Ben Craig (Charlotte) finished up with three scoreless innings, allowing three base hits.

Jack Johnson (Oklahoma City) hit a solo homer for the Rebels.
