In the opener, Jon Embury (Florida Gulf Coast) was 2-for-4 with a homer and three RBIs to lead the Cardinals to a 9-3 victory.
Leam Powell (Keystone) was the winning pitcher, going 2.1 innings in relief and allowing no runs on one hit. He struck out three and walked one.
Mikey Urbaniak (Longwood) was 3-for-4 with two doubles and Aaron Jamison (South Carolina) added a solo homer for the Braves.
In the second game, Jacob Lester (Trevecca Nazarene) was 3-for-4 with three RBIs to spark the Braves. Logan Cockrill (Delaware) was 2-for-4 with two RBIs.
Evan Koehler (South Florida) pitched four innings, allowing one earned run on five hits to get the win. Brady Clark (St. John’s) got the final three outs to record the save.
Embury homered again and drove in two runs for the Cardinals. Brandon Butler (Shippensburg) had two base hits and Joshua Quezada added a solo homer.
Winchester 1, Charlottesville 0
Winchester scored in the bottom of the first inning and that turned out to be enough in a 1-0 victory over the Tom Sox.
Winchester starter Dylan Story (High Point) pitched four shutout innings and allowed three hits. Vincent Salvo (Towson) pitched 3.2 innings and allowed just one hit to pick up the save. Ron Davis (Shorter) retired the final four batters to earn the save.
Bradley Link (Pensacola State) allowed just one hit in four innings for the Tom Sox.
Strasburg 6, New Market 5
Strasburg closed the door on the Rebels over the final two innings to take a 6-5 victory.
Davis Rivers (Wofford) pitched the final two innings for the Express and earned the save. He allowed one hit while striking out two and walking one.
Topher Jones (Pearl River) and Eduardo Castillo (New Orleans) each had two hits for the Express. Josh Ibe (Stephen F. Austin) drove in three runs.
Michael Dobkowski (Enterprise State) had two hits and Matthew Murphy (Salem CC) drove in three runs for the Rebels.
