Hitter of the Day

The hitter of the day is Staunton’s Cole Ragone, from William & Mary! In the second game of the double header, Ragone went 3-4, with two runs scored, an RBI, double, and two triples. He’s now hitting .284/.365/.471 in 102 at-bats, with four doubles, three triples, three home runs, 13 RBIs, and 10 stolen bases. I believe this is the only multi-triple game of the year thus far.

Pitcher of the Day

That second game of the doubleheader was great for Staunton, as our pitcher of the day, Jalon Long, had a fantastic game on the hill for this one, giving Staunton players the award sweep. On the summer so far, Long is 1-4, 9.00, with 29 strikeouts in 25 innings.
