- Staunton 7, Waynesboro 6: This one came down to bases loaded, two outs in the bottom of the ninth, but Staunton’s Marty Neal struck out Tyler Borges to save it for Staunton. Hitter of the Day
The hitter of the day, with no surprise, comes from New Market’s lineup; it’s Garett Wallace, from East Tennessee State. Wallace, the league’s home run and RBI leader, went 2-4, with three runs scored, a home run, walk, and three RBIs.
