Hitter of the Day

The hitter of the day is Front Royal’s Niko Amory, from Marist, who went 3-4, with two runs scored and two doubles. Amory has had a nice summer, hitting .341/.504/.576 in 85 at-bats, with 11 doubles, three home runs, 15 RBIs, and an excellent 26/22 BB/K ratio. He will get strong consideration to appear on ATVL’s top hitters list, coming in August/September!

It’s a Cardinal sweep today- the POD is Ryan Murphy, from JMU! Murphy threw seven excellent innings, allowing only two hits, one run, and two walks while striking out two. He earned the win and a game score of 69. He’s 3-2, 6.30, with 23 K’s in 35 2/3 innings this summer.
