Our USA Signs Hitter of the Week is Waynesboro’s Matt Ruiz!
Ruiz scored and drove in all the runs in the past seven days. In eight games and 33 at-bats, he hit .424/.459/.667, scored 11 runs, hit four doubles and two triples, drove in nine runs, walked three times, and even stole seven bases without being caught. For the season, Ruiz is hitting .328/.385/.478 in 67 at-bats, with 15 runs, six doubles, two triples, 14 RBIs, and 10 stolen bases. He has a current ten-game hitting streak as well. For South Florida this spring, Ruiz hit .237/.377/.351 in 97 at-bats, with two doubles, three home runs, and 18/15 BB/K.
