Harrisonburg’s Jack Cannizzaro (JMU) was the South Division Hitter of the Week and Charlottesville’s Bobby Olsen (Nebraska) was selected the Pitcher of the Week,

Cannizzaro was 7-for-17 in four games with one double, a homer and seven RBIs.

Olsen made two appearances and picked up a win over Harrisonburg. He pitched a total of nine innings and allowed no runs on five hits. He struck out nine and walked four.

Staunton: Nah Canterbury (Fairmont State) was 7-for -16 in four games. He had two doubles, a homer and five RBIs.

Waynesboro: Kyle Neri (Rider) was 6-for-17 with two doubles, two homers and three RBIs.

Covington: Chenar Brown (Louisiana Monroe) was 5-for-11 (.455) in three games, with a homer, two runs scored and six RBIs.

Culpeper: Bennett Fryman (Arizona State) was 7-for-16 with one homer and five RBIs.

Other Pitchers Nominated

Staunton: Grant Donkin (Trevecca Nazarene) made three appearances in relief. He pitched three innings and allowed two hits and no earned runs. He struck out four and walked one.

Waynesboro: Cole Hales (Catawba) allowed one run on three hits in five innings. He struck out five and walked one.

Covington: Colby Phillips (Carson-Newman) pitched six innings of relief in a comeback win over Staunton and allowed just one run on three hits. He struck out six and did not walk a batter.

Harrisonburg: Joe Valchar (United States Military Academy) was the winning pitcher in relief in a 9-1 victory over Waynesboro. He pitched five shutout innings and allowed just three hits. He struck out five and did not walk a batter.
