The Strasburg Express swept the VBL weekly awards in the North Division with Jay Douglas (Eastern Kentucky) the Player of the Week and John Gray (Wofford) the Pitcher of the Week.
Douglas hit .636 (7-for-11) on the week with six runs scored, a double and four RBIs. He stole two bases and had a 1.419 OPS.
Gray made one appearance and tossed four scoreless innings. He allowed no runs on three hits while striking five and walking one.
North Division Hitter of the Week Nominees
Front Royal: Brandon Butler (Slippery Rock) was 10-for-19 on the week with five runs scored and five stolen bases.
Winchester: In five games, Troy Davis (East Stroudsburg) hit for a .615 average (8-for-13) with seven runs, three RBIs, two doubles, a triple and one stolen base.
