Woodstock jumped out to a 5-0 lead and held off Covington 6-4.
JT Anderosky (DeSales) was 4-for-5 with three RBIs for the River Bandits. Barrett Eldridge (Rice) and Parker Falkenstein (Wright State) each added two base hits. Hunter Miller (Southern Indiana) drove in two runs.
Christian Toledo (Wayland Baptist) pitched a 1-2-3 ninth to earn the save.
Tyler Tamargo (Tusculum) and Jendy Gonzalez (Miami Dade) each had two hits for Covington. Martin Howell (Dayton) drove in three runs.
Strasburg 13, Harrisonburg 8
Strasburg led 12-2 after three innings in a 13-8 win over the Turks.
Eduardo Castillo (New Orleans) was 3-for-4 with two RBIs to lead the Express. Josh Ibe (Stephen F. Austin) and Brooks Henderson (UMBC) were both 2-for-5 with two runs scored. Cole Griffith (Georgia State) was 2-for-4 with a homer and two RBIs. Brett Moseley (Mississippi) was also 2-for-4 with two runs batted in for the Express.
Clay Thompson (JMU) was 3-for-4 with two homers and five RBIs to lead the Turks.
Culpeper 6, Front Royal 4
Culpeper edged the Front Royal Cardinals 5-4.
Maxwell Molessa (West Virginia) was 2-for-5 with two RBIs to lead the Culpeper hitters.
Branton Little (Wofford) was strong in relief, pitching 3.1 innings and allowing no runs on one hit.
Jon Embury (Florida Gulf Coast) was 2-for-4 and scored two runs for Front Royal.
Charlottesville 10, New Market 6
Charlottesville broke open a close game with four runs in the bottom of the seventh to defeat New Market 10-6.
James Nunnallee (Mississippi State) was 1-for-2 and drove in two runs for the Tom Sox.
Dawson Newman recorded the save for the Tom Sox, pitching 3.1 innings and allowing two earned runs on five hits. He struck out seven and walked one.
Logan Kelly (Colorado State-Pueblo) and Michael Dobkowski (Enterprise State) each had two hits for the Rebels.
Winchester 19, Waynesboro 0
Winchester overwhelmed the Waynesboro Generals 19-0 on Sunday.
Jaime Padilla (Shenandoah) and Ty Fredo (Mt. Saint Mary’s) both homered for the Royals. Fredo finished 3-for-4 with five RBIs .Connor Guy (St. Johns River) was 3-for-3 with three RBIs. Parker Frey (East Stroudsburg) was also 3-for-3 with four RBIs. John Emendorfer (Charleston Southern) was 3-for-4 and drove in two runs. Sean Pokorak (Lynchburg) finished 2-for-4 and scored two runs.
Owen Powell (Francis Marion) pitched six shutout innings to get the win. He allowed five hits, struck out six and walked one.
Gialdri Gomez (Seminole State) had two of Waynesboro’s six hits.
Staunton 6, Purcellville 5
Staunton took the lead with a run in the bottom of the seventh to defeat the Cannons. Miguel Hugas (Mercer) drove in the winning run with a sacrifice fly.
Wyatt Peifer (JMU) was 3-for-3 and scored three runs for the Braves. Cooper McDaniel (USC-Beaufort) was 2-for-3 with two RBIs and Wyatt Campbell (Florida Southern) finished 2-for-4.
Jack Vest (East Tennesse State) pitched three scoreless innings in relief. Vest allowed no runs and two base hits. He struck out five and walked four. Ismael Borrero (Mercer) pitched a scoreless ninth to earn the save. Borrero allowed one hit and struck out two.
Carlos Sanchez (Florida Southwestern), Blake Brookins (Florida) and Mitsuki Kohno (Johnson U.) each had two hits for the Cannons. Kohno drove in two runs while Sanchez stole four bases.
