Charlottesville jumped ahead with four runs in the second and led the rest of the way to defeat the Cannons 8-2 in a game shortened to six innings due to rain.
James Nunnallee (Mississippi State) was 2-for-4 with a homer and three RBIs to lead the Tom Sox. Preston Gamster (TCU), Brock Clayton (Florida) and Perry Hargett (North Carolina) each finished with two hits. Walker Buchanan (Virginia) and Jackson Sirois (Maryland) each added two RBIs.
Dawson Newman (Coastal Carolina) pitched 3.2 innings of shutout relief to earn the win. He allowed two hits, struck out three and walked one.

In the opener, Noah Murray (Virginia) was 2-for-3 with a homer and four RBIs. James Green II (Presbyterian), Daniel Smith (Gordon College) and Kyzer Harrington (Texas-Arlington) each had two base hits for the Generals.
Cole Turner (Embry-Riddle) came out of the pen and pitched four shutout innings to get the win. He allowed just two hits, struck out five and did not walk a batter.
Evan Garcia (South Florida State) was solid in relief for the Express, pitching three shutout innings and allowing just three hits. He struck out four and walked one.
In the second game, the Express scored three runs in the fifth inning and two more in the seventh to defeat the Generals 6-4 and salvage a split.
Josh Ibe (Stephen F. Austin) and Landon Beaver (UAB) both went 2-for-4 to lead the Express. Ibe drove in three runs and Beaver added two RBIs.
Starting pitcher Justin Gay (Florida Atlantic) went four scoreless innings and allowed just two hits for the Express. He struck out two and did not walk a batter.
Andrew Ildefonso (FIU) was 3-for-5 for the Generals and Smith drove in three runs.
New Market 7, Culpeper 0
Five New Market pitchers combined on a three-hitter in a 7-0 win over Culpeper.
Spencer Williams (Liberty) pitched 4.2 innings and allowed three hits. He struck out six and walked four. Four relief pitchers – Trey Gauch (Randolph-Macon), Daniel Shuta (Kaskaskia CC), Andrew Lynch (West Virginia Tech) and Luke McGrath (JMU) combined to pitch 4.1 innings without allowing a base hit.
Blaine Waltimyer (Penn State-Harrisburg) was 3-for-4 for the Rebels and Matthew Murphy (Salem CC) was 2-for-4 with three RBIs.
Covington 6, Winchester 3
Covington broke a 1-1 tie with three runs in the eighth and held on in the ninth to defeat the Royals 6-3.
Victor Sanchez belted a three-run homer in the eighth to give the Jacks the lead. Martin Howell (Dayton) was 2-for-4 and Dariel Castillo (Pasco Hernando) drove in two runs for Covington.
Yannis Rembert (Cumberlands) pitched four scoreless innings for Covington. He allowed four hits, struck out five and walked three.
Todd Abraham (Binghamton) went 2-for-4 for the Royals.
Winchester starter Owen Powell (Francis Marion) pitched five innings and allowed just two hits. He struck out seven and did not walk a batter.
