Two Waynesboro pitchers combined on a seven-hit shutout in a 1-0 win over Covington.

Julian Mlodzinski (FIU) pitched seven innings and allowed six hits. He struck out nine and walked one to get the win. Peter Jezerinac (Kennesaw State) pitched the final two innings to earn the save.

Kyzer Harrington (Texas-Arlington) drove in the game’s only run with a single in the second inning. Anthony Clavet (Kennesaw State) was 2-for-2 for the Generals.

Arquimedes Barrios (Rollins) and Quindon Wright (Augusta State) each had two hits for Covington.

Lumberjacks’ starter Gavin Bennett (Potomac State) pitched five innings and allowed one run on three hits.

Charlottesville 6, Front Royal 4

The Tom Sox took control with four runs in the fifth inning to defeat Front Royal 6-4.

Elijah Guilliams (Flagler) was 3-for-4 with three RBIs for the Tom Sox. Waler Buchanan (Virginia) was 2-for-4.

Timothy Lawson (North Carolina) pitched five innings and allowed one run on one hit. He struck out nine and walked three to get the win.

Gabriel Malera and Danny Wyatt (UMBC) each had two hits for the Cardinals.

Santino Dielus (Seton Hill) pitched three innings of shutout relief for Front Royal, allowing just one hit and striking out three.

Winchester 14, Woodstock 2

The Royals pounded out 20 hits in a 14-2 win over Woodstock.

Trenton Lombardo (La Salle) was 3-for-5 with a homer and three RBIs to pace Winchester. Benton Jones (Lynchburg) was also 3-for-5 with three RBIs and Cole Meyer (Chattahoochee Valley CC) added two hits.

Jack Brooker (Queens) pitched four innings and allowed one run on no hits to get the win. He struck out five and walked three.

Woodstock’s Jodan Evans (Mississippi College) was 1-for-3, extending his hitting streak to 16 straight games.

Purcellville 4, Strasburg 3

Purcellville moved ahead with two runs in the fifth and held on for a 4-3 win over the Express.

Anthony Fernandez (St. Bonaventure) was 3-for-4 and Thomas Marsala (Western Kentucky) homered and drove in two runs for the Cannons.

Topher Jones (Mississippi), Landon Beaver (UAB) and Brooks Henderson (UMBC) drove in runs for the Express with Beaver’s coming on a solo homer.

Harrisonburg 12, Culpeper 6

The Turks erased a 6-4 deficit with six runs in the fourth to defeat Culpeper 12-6/

John Jaffe (Liberty) was 2-for-5 with a grand-slam homer and six RBIs for the Turks. Josiah Seguin (Chipola) was 3-for-5 and Jose Perez (UNC-Greensboro) was 2-for-5 with a homer and two RBIs. Gavin Gropusso (Wingate) also had two base hits.

Robert Loper (Merrimack) pitched 6.1 innings of shutout relief to earn the win. He allowed five hits, struck out two and walked one.

Caleb Estes (Charlotte) was 4-for-5 and Alejandro Ludeiro (Lipscomb) was 2-for-5 for the Cavaliers. Keoni Painter (BYU) homered and drove in four runs.

Staunton 10, New Market 6

Staunton scored five runs in the top of the 10th inning to defeat New Market 10-6.

Wyatt Campbell (Florida Southern) was 2-for-5 with two runs batted in and Ty Galusky (East Tennessee State) drove in four runs for the Braves.

Ismael Borrero (Mercer) struck out nine batters and walked one in 4.1 innings. He allowed one earned run on three hits.

Blaine Waltimyer (Penn State-Harrisburg) was 3-for-5 with four RBIs and John Dobkowski was 3-for-6 for the Rebels.
