In the opener, the Cannons scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh to rally for the win.

Erick Martinez (North Central Texas) had two of the Cannons three base hits.

Hazen Lancaster (UNC-G) and Nick Stazsak (Santa Fe) held the Cardinals to one unearned run on five hits in the first six innings.

Blake Brookins (Florida) had two hits for the Cardinals.

Cortland Clarke (Florida Gulf Coast) and Shifu Hasegawa (Sussex County CC) combined to blank the Cannons on two hits over the first 5.2 innings.

In Game 2, the Cannons broke a 5-5 tie with seven runs in the seventh inning.

Thomas Marsala (Western Kentucky) was 2-for-4 with a homer and four RBIs for the Cannons. Ryan Gargett (Eckerd) was 3-for-4 with two RBIs and Kobe White (LSU-Shreveport) was 3-for-3. Martinez was 2-for-4 with a run batted in.

The Cannons bullpen allowed just one unearned run over the final six innings.

Marcus Martin (High Point) and Dylan Winebrenner (Richmond) each had two hits for the Cardinals with Winebrenner driving in two runs.

Strasburg 5, Winchester 4

Strasburg scored two runs in the bottom of the eighth to defeat the Royals 5-4.

Jay Douglas tied the score in the eighth with a run-scoring single before a bases-loaded walk forced in the go-ahead run.

Jake McCarter (High Point) was 2-for-4 with a homer and two RBIs for the Express.

Judd Hildreth (Florida Southwester) and Davis Budd (Western Carolina) combined to shut out the Royals over the final four innings.

Troy Davis (East Stroudsburg), Marc Hersh (FIU) and Cole Meyer (Chattahoochee Valley) each finished with two hits for Winchester.

Woodstock 5, New Market 4

Woodstock scored two runs in the bottom of the ninth to walk off the Rebels 5-4.

Connor Spelman (Jacksonville) tied the score with a run-scoring single and the winning run scored when Jordan Evans (Tampa) was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded.

Barrett Eldridge (Young Harris) was 3-for-4 with a run batted in for the River Bandits. Hunter Miller (Southern Indiana) and Austin Ford (Folsom Lake) each added two base hits.

River Bandits starter Sean Keener (Virginia Wesleyan) pitched five shutout innings, allowing for hits while striking out four batters.

Jake Henry Williams (Arkansas State) and Ike Schmidly (JMU) each had two hits for the Rebels.

Harrisonburg 7, Staunton 4

Harrisonburg jumped out to a 7-0 lead and held off the Braves 7-4.

Jose Perez (UNC-G), Josiah Seguin (Chipola), Steele Burd (Clemson) and Jordan Jaffe (Liberty) each had two hits for the Turks. Jaffe had two RBIs.

Rhett Vaughn (Florida State) did not allow a hit but did get charged with two runs in 4.2 innings. Tim Tyler allowed two runs on six hits in 4.1 innings to get the win.

Jacob Lester (Trevecca Nazarene) had two hits and Mikey Urbaniak (Longwood) drove in two runs for the Braves.

Ethan Stewart (Ohio) kept the Braves in the game with three solid innings in middle relief. He allowed no runs on one hit while striking out three.

Covington 6, Waynesboro 5

Covington scored six runs in the first inning and held on for a 6-5 win over the Generals.

Dariel Castillo (Pasco Hernando) was 2-for-3 for the Lumberjacks.

Chase Ledger (Albany State) held the Generals hitless over the final 1.1 innings to earn the save.

Seth Buchanan (VMI) and Noah Murray (Virginia) each had two hits and Nathan Fink homered for the Generals.

Culpeper 9, Charlottesville 5
Charlottesville 5, Culpeper 4 (10 innings)

Culpeper and the Tom Sox split a Thursday doubleheader.

Keeton Burroughs (Pitt) was 2-for-3 and drove in three runs to lead the Cavaliers in the first game. Alejandro Ludeiro (Lipscomb) and Donovan Mitchell (South Alabama) each added two base hits.

Owen Winebarger (Elon) and Mason Sawyers (Hood) shut out the Tom Sox over the final three innings.

Tanner Schaedel (ODU) was 2-for-4 with a homer and two RBIs to lead the Tom Sox. Patrick Niehus (Gardner-Webb) and Kyle Langley (JMU) each had two hits.

Lane Duff (JMU) pitched 4.1 innings of shutout relief for the Tom Sox. He allowed just three hits and struck out two.

In Game 2, Lee Sowers (UNC) drove in the winning run in the bottom of the 10th inning.

Perry Hargett (UNC) drove in two runs for the Tom Sox.

Trevor Booton (Auburn) did not allow a hit in his three innings of relief. Saxon Roberts got the win, allowing one run on one hit in two innings.

Ethan Borggren (Northwestern) had two of Culpeper’s three hits.

Culpeper starter Zach Mizrahi (Penn State) did not allow a hit in four innings. He struck out six and walked four.
