Woodstock jumped out to an early 5-1 lead and defeated the Cannons 8-2 in the first game of a doubleheader.
Jordan Evans (Tampa) was 2-for-4 with two RBIs for the Bandits. Eli Hudgins (Radford) was 2-for-3 with a homer and two RBIs. Jackson Lucas (Troy) added two base hits.
Woodstock starter Logan Larrance (Western Oregon) pitched five innings and allowed one run on five base hits.
Thomas Marsala (Northwestern State) was 2-for-4 for the Cannons.
In the second game, Lucas had another productive game, going 3-for-3 with four RBIs. Hunter Miller was 2-for-4 for the River Bandits.
Woodstock’s Jordan Hodges (Cameron U.) pitched four innings in relief to get the win. Hodges allowed one earned run on one hit and struck out five.
Culpeper, 5, Charlottesville 3
Culpeper scored three runs in the seventh and held on to defeat the Tom Sox 5-3.
Bladen Pado (Coastal Carolina) delivered the key blow in the seventh with a two-run homer. Pado finished 2-for-3 with three RBIs. Colby Motley (Wallace CC) also homered for the Cavaliers.
Benjy Tucker (Mercer) started and pitched five scoreless innings to get the win. Tucker allowed just one hit and struck out 2. Tim Rio (Hood) shut the Tom Sox out over the final 1.2 innings, allowing just one hit, to earn the save.
Jackson Sirois (Maryland) and Brock Clayton (Florida) each had two base hits for the Tom Sox.
