How it happened: Harrisonburg scored the winning run in the bottom of the 12th inning Tuesday night to defeat Staunton 5-4. The Braves took a 3-2 lead in the sixth when Hayden Gustavson (State College of Florida) led off with a double. He stole third and scored on a groundout by Keilon Parnell (Mississippi Gulf Coast). Harrisonburg pulled even in the seventh on a sac fly by Anthony Paskell (Rider).
Turks Highlights: Spencer Biggerstaff (Oklahoma City) was the winning pitcher, going two scoreless innings and allowing no hits. He struck out four and walked one. Jacob Green (Seminole State) was 3-for-6 with a run scored. Cameron Harris (Wingate) was 2-for-6 and scored three runs.
Braves Highlights: Breckin Nace (Radford) was 2-for-4 with a run batted in and Parnell had two RBIs. Nate Ward (Florida Southwestern) pitched four innings, allowing two hits and no earned runs. He struck out six and did not walk a batter.
Waynesboro 9, Culpeper 4
How it happened: Waynesboro snapped a 4-4 tie with five runs in the eighth inning to defeat Culpeper.
Generals Highlights: Kishon Frett (FIU) was 2-for-4 with a run batted in. Sion Barnette (Limestone) was 2-for-3 with three runs scored and a run batted in. Elijah Borjas (Colorado State-Pueblo) added a solo homer. Matthew Shepherd (Ferrum) was the winning pitcher, going three shutout innings and allowing one hit.
Cavaliers Highlights: Rett Johnson (South Alabama) was 2-for-5 with two runs scored.
Charlottesville 10 Covington 6
How it happened: The Tom Sox jumped out to a 10-0 lead in the win over the Lumberjacks. A seven-run third inning put the Sox in command. Johnnie Lopez (Seminole State) hit a three-run homer to highlight the third-inning uprising.
Tom Sox Highlights: Lopez finished the game with four RBIs. Robbie Lavey (George Washington) was 2-for-4 with a homer, double and two RBIs. Starting pitcher Ethan Sutton (Georgia) worked four innings and did not allow a hit. He struck out three and walked one. Ryan Grzesiak (Florida Southwestern) picked up the save, pitching 2.1 innings and not allowing a hit. He struck out four and walked one.
Lumberjacks Highlights: Quentin Jenkins (Alabama State) was 2-for-5 with a run batted in. Jackson Toberman (St. Johns River) was 1-for-3 with three RBIs. Jared Henchek (Emporia State) pitched four shutout innings and allowed just one hit.
