Purcellville: Jayson Bishop (FIU) pitched five innings and allowed just one hit. He struck out two and walked one. Bauer Burkhart (Marshall) finished up by striking out the side in the ninth. Michael Gupton (Gulf Coast CC) was 2-for-4 with a homer and two RBIs. Jake Slade (Virginia Tech) was also 2-for-4.
Woodstock: Chaz Walter (Middle Georgia) was 2-for-4 with a run scored. Aidan Sites (Potomac State) pitched 4.2 innings and allowed two runs on four hits. He struck out six and walked two.
Winchester 17, Strasburg 11
Winchester: Kristian Amara (NC A&T) was 2-for-4 with three RBIs. Shanley Wall (East Stroudsburg) was 2-for-6 with a homer, three runs scored and four RBIs. Cam Harthan was 3-for-5 with four runs scored. Broc Parmer (Texas-San Antonio) was 3-for-4 with two runs and one run batted in. Steven Trone worked the final 3.1 shutout innings and was the winning pitcher allowing just three hits, did not walk a batter and struck out four.
Strasburg: Connor Chisholm (Mississippi) was 2-for-5 with a run batted in. Chance Reisdorph (Texas A&M-Corpus Christi) was 2-for-3 with a homer and two RBIs.
Staunton 11, Culpeper 8
Staunton: Jake Dorety (Rider) pitched four shutout innings and allowed just four hits. He struck out four and did not walk a batter. Ike Schmidly (JMU) was 2-for-5 with one run batted in and two stolen bases.
Culpeper: Rett Johnson (South Alabama) and Ryan Storey (South Alabama) were both 2-for-5 with a run batted in. Gabriel Larry (Mississippi State) was 2-for-4 with a solo homer.
