The Valley Baseball League will induct 13 members into its Hall of Fame in the Class of 2024. The class will be recognized at the VBL All-Star Game to be played in Purcellville on June 30.
During the coming weeks, bios of each individual will be posted on the VBL website.
Slated for induction are:
Wayne Britton, former VBL player and Major League baseball scout.
Tom Brookens, former VBL player and Major League Baseball player.
Mike Caldwell, former VBL player and Major League Baseball player.
Ron Hodges (posthumously), former VBL player and Major League Baseball player.
Al Holland, former VBL player and Major League Baseball player.
Henry “Turtle” Thomas, former VBL head coach and long-time college baseball coach.
Wayne Tolleson, former VBL player and Major League Baseball player.
Bill Mitchell, former VBL player and coach.
Jim Moeller, former VBL coach.
Todd Thompson, former franchise owner of Winchester Royals and VBL administrator,
Tommy Garten (posthumously), former president of Covington Lumberjacks.
Butch Barnes, former VBL coach.
Don Lemish, former VBL commissioner.
