Strasburg 7, Woodstock 6

The Express rallied from an early 6-3 deficit to defeat the Woodstock River Bandits 7-6.

Brandy Boles (Panola JC) and Landon Beaver (UAB) both homered for the Express. Boles was 3-for-3 with three RBIs. Jake McCarter (High Point) was 2-for-3 with two RBIs for the Express.

Gavin Kindell (Florida Southwestern) was the winning pitcher. He pitched four innings and allowed no runs on two hits. Davis Rivers (Wofford) earned the save with two shutout innings in which he allowed no hits.

Luke Keister (Shenandoah) was 3-for-5 for the River Bandits. William Tippett (South Carolina) was 2-for-3 with two runs scored and one run batted in. JT Andersoky (DeSales) and Conner Spelman (Jacksonville) each drove in a pair of runs.

Purcellville 11, Winchester 3

The Cannons led 10-2 early in the game and coasted to an 11-3 win over Winchester.

Thomas Marsala (Western Kentucky) was 4-for-5 with two RBIs for the Cannons. Ethan Acevedo (Indian Hills CC) and Mitsuki Kohno (Johnson U.) each added two hits. Colson Wood (North Central Texas) also had two RBIs in the game.

Merrick Beamish (North Central Texas) did not allow a hit in 4.2 innings of relief to get the win. He struck out four batters.

Jon Emendorfer (Charleston Southern) and AJ Labrusciano (Rider) each had two base hits for the Royals.

New Market 8, Front Royal 7

The Rebels scored four runs in the top of the eighth inning to rally past Front Royal 8-7, handing the Cardinals their 11th consecutive loss.

Logan Kelly (Colorado State-Pueblo) drove in two runs with a single and Caleb Newcomer (Shippensburg) plated one run with a base hit during New Market’s winning rally.

Kelly was 2-for-5 with three RBIs. Jake Henry Williams (Arkansas State) was 3-for-4.

Daniel Shuta (Kaskaskia CC) was the winning pitcher. He did not allow a hit in 2.2 innings. Shuta struck out three and did not walk a batter.

Jay Campbell (Florida A&M) led the Cardinals with a 4-for-5 night that included a home run and three RBIs. Gabriel Melara was 3-for-6 and Jackson Hill (Texas-Arlington) finished 2-for-5. Dylan Winebrenner (Richmond) drove in two runs for Front Royal.

Harrisonburg 9, Waynesboro 2

The Turks broke a 2-2 tie with three runs in the bottom of the fourth inning and cruised to a 9-2 win over Waynesboro.

Clemson teammates Owen Anchors and Steele Burd were both 2-for-4 and both homered for the Turks. Anchors had three RBIs. Jalen Evans (Wingate) and Amaury DeJesus (Miami) each had two hits.

Rhett Vaughn (Florida State) came on in middle relief and pitched three shutout innings. He allowed one hit and struck out five batters.

Seth Buchanan (VMI) and Gialdri Gomez (Seminole State) each produced two hits for the Generals.

Charlottesville 12, Covington 7

The Tom Sox took the lead with five runs in the fifth inning to defeat Covington 12-7.

Preston Gamster (TCU) led the Tom Sox hitters, going 2-for-4 with a triple, homer and four RBIs. Patrick Niehus (Gardner-Webb), Hudson Lutterman (Virginia Tech) and Evan Tavares (Miami) each finished with two hits. Niehus and Taveras each drove in two runs. Kyle Langley also had two RBIs for the Tom Sox.

Luke Craytor (Virginia Tech) did not allow a hit in his three innings and picked up the win. Craytor struck out three and walked one.

Miami Dade teammates Willy Mendez and Jendy Gonzalez homered for the Jacks. Gonzalez was 2-for-5 and Mendez drove in three runs. Dariel Castillo (Pasco Hernando) also had two base hits.

Culpeper 5, Staunton 3

Culpeper’s Mason Breton (Long Island) blanked Staunton over the final four innings to preserve the win for the Cavaliers.

Breton allowed just one hit while striking out five and walking one.

Culpeper had just three base hits, but one was a three-run homer by Colby Motley (Wallace CC) in the second inning.

Mikey Urbaniak (Longwood) was 2-for-2 with two walks and Lincoln Pack (Pensacola State) was 2-for-4. Wyatt Campbell (Florida Southern) hit his seventh home run.

Jack Vest (East Tennessee State) did not allow a hit in his two innings. Vest struck out two batters.
