Braves 6, Turks 2

Staunton took the lead with a run in the seventh and then added three runs in eighth to defeat the Turks 6-2/

Braves shortstop Jackson Ingram (WVU) was 3-for-3 with a homer and scored two runs. Joey Little (East Tennessee State) was 3-for-5.

After a solid five innings from starter Kyle Batt (Rider), the Braves bullpen blanked the Turks over the final four innings. Parker Munday (Akron) pitched 2.2 innings to earn the win. He allowed two hits while striking out five and walking. Brady Clark (St. John’s) finished up to record the save, pitching the final 1.1 innings.

Clay Thompson (JMU) was 2-for-5 and drove in both Harrisonburg runs.

Cavaliers 15, Generals 7

Culpeper scored six runs in the top of the ninth to put away the Generals 15-7.

Alejandro Ludiero (Lipscomb) was 2-for-4 and Maxwell Molessa (WVU) was 2-for-3 for Culpeper. Ethan Belk (Wofford), Kelly Crittenberger (Northwestern), Caleb Estes (Charlotte), Caden Christman (Rutgers-New Brunswick) and Luke Smith (Rice) each drove in a pair of runs.

Riley Cruce (Mercer) pitched the final three innings to get the win. He allowed no runs and one hit while striking out five.

Andrew Ildefonso (FIU) was 2-for-4 with a homer and three RBIs to lead the Generals. Jake Morgan (Maryland) was 2-for-3 and scored three runs.

Tom Sox 6, Lumberjacks 5

Charlottesville held off a late rally to defeat Covington 6-5.

Kyle Langley (JMU), Preston Gamster (TCU and James Nunnallee (Mississippi State) each had two hits for the Tom Sox. Nunnallee drove in two runs.

The Tom Sox received a solid outing from starter JT Gibson (Kennesaw State). Gibson pitched 4.1 innings and allowed one run on four hits. He struck out five.

Willy Mendez (Miami Dade) was 3-for-4 and Jendy Gonzalez (Miami Dade) was 2-for-5 for the Jacks. Martin Howell was 2-for-2 with a homer and two RBIs.

Cannons 4, Rebels 1

Purcellville broke open a close game with three runs in the seventh to defeat the Rebels 4-1.

Angel Cruz (Northeastern) got the win for the Cannons with five shutout innings. He allowed just three hits and struck out six.

Gerardo Prado (Oklahoma) was 3-for-5 to lead the Cannons. Anthony Fernandez (St. Bonaventure), Manny Ramirez Jr. (East L.A. JC), Kareh Valentin (FIU) and Ethan Acevedo (Indian Hills CC) each finished with two base hits.

Jack Johnson (Oklahoma City) belted a solo homer for the Rebels.

New Market starter Jake Olguin-Pacheco (Colorado State-Pueblo) pitched five innings and allowed one run on five hits.
