The Winchester Royals and the Valley League have lost a key piece of Valley League history. Todd Thompson, long-time League owner and administrator, died on January 15 at the age of 68.

Thompson owned the Winchester Royals from 1996 to 2004, served as Valley League Vice President from 2005 to 2009, was team president in Winchester for several years starting in 2010, and was currently a board member.

Known as a true baseball man, Thompson will be missed at Winchester games and board meetings.
